Hello I am Elizabeth from Elizabeth J Millinery and I live in Sheldon, Queensland.
I ventured into millinery in 2015 and after following the various courses at Hat Academy with the wonderful Elaine Mergard, Lina Stein, Ian Bennet and Helen Gibb, I knew it was what I wanted to do, especially after my career as an accountant.
Who wouldn't rather play with fabrics, feathers, loops and colours than numbers.
As we still wear hats to church I was quickly asked to make hats for other ladies and decided to turn my ever developing skill into a business and Elizabeth J Millinery was established during 2016.
What I love about millinery is its art form, there is no right or wrong, no too crazy or too subdued, it is about where the feeling takes you and the ongoing challenges and the learning opportunities that never stop.
My studio is in Sheldon Queensland Australia where I do bespoke millinery as well.
