Karen Bailey Millinery was established in Brisbane in 1988.
Karen’s hats have featured in films, theatre productions, exhibitions and fashion and racing magazines. Many of her hats have been worn at weddings and race meetings nationally and internationally.
After studying millinery through a Sydney college, Karen trained for another three years with celebrated Brisbane milliner, Elizabeth R, learning traditional model millinery techniques.
Opening her millinery boutique in Oxford Street Bulimba in the 1990’s, Karen’s collections also sold through David Jones and Myer department stores as well as independent boutiques.
Influenced by national and international fashion trends, Karen coordinates the style and feel of the season into her designs. She is renowned for her attention to detail and her millinery style is classically elegant with a contemporary edge.
After thirty years in Brisbane, Karen recently relocated to the beautiful Northern Rivers Region of N.S.W. She continues to focus on designing beautifully crafted hats for her clients.
