I grew up in a small outback Queensland town called Hughenden, I started making hats with Patti Carter when she came to visit at and arts weekend some 20 plus years ago. Over the year my skills and creative have grown and a passion for millinery has emerged. I now live in Townsville where I create my headpieces as well as teach people how to make their own.
My favourite material is leather, which is very popular today in millinery. However, I do use a lot of kangaroo leather when making flowers, this is special to me as there used to be a tannery in Hughenden where I sourced the leather. Now gone my little stash from this tannery is quite sacred.
I love to create and challenge myself, I have attended many workshops with many very talented milliners from Australia and overseas. All of whom have influenced my work in one way or another.
New to my collection is the acrylic pouring pieces, this is something new and not available anywhere else that I know of, so something unique and all pieces are one off as there is no duplication when it comes to acrylic pouring!!
Not only do I have headpieces, but matching hand painted clutches and something a little different... shoe bags.
If you do buy a piece of mine I hope you love wearing it as much as I loved creating it.
Find me on my website, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok
Thanks
